Dr. Clyburn separated from the United States Air Force at the rank of Major after serving 10 years in July 2019. Originally from Pleasanton, Texas (30 minutes south of San Antonio), Dr. Clyburn received his undergraduate Biomedical Science degree from Texas A&M University in 2005. He graduated from University of Texas Health Science Center San Antonio Dental School in 2009.

After joining the United States Air Force on a Health Professional Scholarship Program, Dr. Clyburn completed a 1-year Advanced Education in General Dentistry program at Sheppard Air Force Base in Wichita Falls, Texas (2009-2010).

Dr. Clyburn completed his Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery Residency at David Grant Medical Center at Travis Air Force Base in 2015. After graduating, he joined the Oral Maxillofacial surgery staff at David Grant Medical Center Oral Maxillofacial Surgery residency as an attending.

He became a Diplomate, American Board of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery in 2017. For the past three years, he has practiced full scope Oral Maxillofacial Surgery and trained AEGD-1 residents parental sedation/exodontia at Barksdale Air Force Base in Shreveport, Louisiana.

Dr. Clyburn and his wife, Aron Kay, have been married for 10 years and have three children. Their children are ages 8, 5, and 3. Aron Kay Clyburn, DDS graduated with Dr. Clyburn in 2009 from the University of Texas Health Science Center Dental school in San Antonio.

Dr. Clyburn enjoys spending time with his family, has a passion for the outdoors, academia, and supporting Texas A&M athletics. Dr. Clyburn and his family joined the BVOMS family in July 2019.
